Our Organization

A national pioneer in wedding occasion giving, I Do Foundation was founded in 2002 by a group of nonprofit leaders to link engaged couples with charitable choices for their wedding. By working closely with corporate and nonprofit partners, we have established a host of ways for couples to celebrate generously™. In 2009, I Do joined forces with JustGive, the destination for online charitable giving™ to better serve the wedding sector.

JustGive was one of the first nonprofits to harness the power of the Web for charitable giving. Guided by its mission to increase giving by connecting people with the charities and causes they care most about, JustGive has built and refined technology to remove barriers to online giving, and created many new channels of giving. Together, it is our vision for charitable giving to become an integral part of all life events. By incorporating charity into life celebrations, we help families establish a pattern of giving that will last a lifetime.

Charitable Weddings

The trend of charitable weddings—celebrations where couples incorporate their socially conscious values into their wedding planning—has exploded over the past few years. As a leading voice for charitable weddings, more than 10% of engaged couples visit I Do each year to learn how they can personalize their weddings by giving back to a charity of their choice. It is our goal to continually expand our couples ability to give back through their wedding.
