1) Getting married? Raise funds to support relief efforts
Here are some easy ways that you can support hurricane relief efforts through your wedding:
Wedding Gift Registry – Create an I Do Foundation gift registry and up to 8% of gift purchases will be donated to relief efforts (or other selected charities of your choice).
Create a Charity Registry – Give your guests the option to donate directly to hurricane relief efforts, in place of or in addition to traditional gifts.
Wedding Favors for the I Do Foundation's Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund – In lieu of standard wedding favors, honor your guests by making a charitable donation in their name for hurricane relief efforts.
The I Do Foundation is proud to support the humanitarian efforts of the American Red Cross through the I Do Foundation Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
To assist with handling your donation, the I Do Foundation charges a 4.75%
processing fee. This fee essentially covers the cost of processing your
credit card donation. The I Do Foundation is committed to ensuring that as
much of your donation as possible reaches relief efforts. If you have
questions, please contact customer service.

2) Already married? Donate wedding items to someone in need
Do you have a dress, wedding accessories, or services that could benefit someone in need? Our Community Forum provides an opportunity to give directly to engaged couples affected by Hurricane Katrina.
To participate:
Become a member of the I Do Foundation. In order to post messages on the forum, you must be a registered member of the I Do Foundation. Even if your wedding has already occurred, we encourage you to join us and participate in our forum.
Post the items you have available. We encourage you to post quality items that you would be pleased to receive as a gift.
The I Do Foundation will spread the word to couples in need. If someone reads your post and is interested in your item, he or she will contact you directly (each poster is assigned an anonymous e-mail so that your personal information is private).
The I Do Foundation does not take responsibility for the quality of the items or the identity of the respondents. Our goal is to provide a forum that allows members of the bridal community to be supportive of each other.
