How are donations generated from my gift registry?
Every time a guest makes a gift purchase, a donation is raised for your selected charitable organization. Listed stores have agreed to pay a percentage of all purchases made by couples and guests referred through our site, which allows us to donate a portion of the spending at your wedding to charity. This donation to your selected charity is made at absolutely no additional cost to you or your guests.

Does the I Do Foundation take any portion of the donated percentage?
No. The percentage listed on the I Do Foundation web site under each store is the exact amount that will be donated to your selected charity.

If I am already registered at an I Do Foundation partner store can I still have a percentage donated to my chosen charity?
You can still raise a percentage donation for each gift purchase even if you have already registered with that store. Simply add that store to your list of registries and guests will be able to link to your registry from your Wedding Website.

Do my guests need to buy online in order to raise donations?
Guest purchases must be made online through the links on your I Do Foundation Wedding Website in order to raise charitable donations. When your guests use these links, we are able to track the purchases and ensure that the proper donation is made to your selected charity.

Who do I contact with questions about my gift registry?
Please directly contact the store where you are registered with questions about your gift registry. Each store's customer service number can be found in the Gift Registry section under that store's description page. Please do not ask questions about donations or the I Do Foundation to customer service agents at our affiliate stores. If you have questions about your donation options or the I Do Foundation, please contact us

What if I want to register with stores that are not I Do Foundation affiliates?
Many couples register for gifts with a variety of stores, and we hope you will consider creating a registry with some of the I Do Foundation's affiliates. If you plan to register with stores that are not currently listed on the I Do Foundation website, you are welcome to do so. While purchases from these stores will not generate donations, we are happy to include information about other gift registries on your wedding website. You can add this information to your personalized website through the Gift Registry setup process. Couples who have registered with outside stores may want to consider creating a Charity Registry through the I Do Foundation. In this way, couples can compliment their wedding gifts with wedding donations.

How do I notify my guests of my charitable choice?
When you visit your Wedding Web Page or your charitable Gift Registry, you will have the opportunity to inform your guests via email. Simply enter the email addresses of your family and friends, customize the message, and submit the form - we'll do the rest. Because we respect the privacy of you and your guests, we never save the email addresses you enter.

Why do we need to select a WeddingChannel.com charity?
WeddingChannel.com will make a donation of up to 3% to any one of the over 100 charities pre-identified by WeddingChannel.com. WeddingChannel.com gift purchases will NOT generate a donation for the charity you have selected at the I Do Foundation. As you are creating your WeddingChannel.com account, you will be given an option to select a charity to support with your wedding donations.

Why aren't my guests' purchases from my WeddingChannel.com Gift Registry reflected in my total amount donated?
Due to technical integration issues between the I Do Foundation and WeddingChannel.com, we are unable to report the specific amount that your account has raised as a result of WeddingChannel.com purchases. While we are unable to report individual amounts raised by each couple, we would be happy to tell you the total amount donated to date to your selected charity as a result of all WeddingChannel.com donations. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience; all other store, favor, and charity registry donations are reflected in the total amount raised.

Can the I Do Foundation guarantee that all Gift Registry purchases will raise a donation?
The I Do Foundation does everything it can to ensure that all Gift Registry purchases raise a donation for charity. In extremely rare cases, Gift Registry partners have canceled or changed their online affiliate systems with little or no notice. In such circumstances, the I Do Foundation contacts all participating couples and, if necessary, removes links from all wedding websites as quickly as possible. Because we cannot fully control partner activity, the I Do Foundation cannot guarantee that all Gift Registry purchases will generate a donation.
