Welcome to the I Do Foundation's community of giving. Through the I Do Foundation's innovative giving options, you can start a Charitable Family Fund, a lasting symbol of your dedication to charitable giving.
You can direct the charitable donations raised at your wedding to your own personal Family Fund. When you create a Family Fund, the money donated at your wedding is invested by the I Do Foundation in your name. Each year, the returns from this investment are donated to carefully screened charitable organizations. Your Family Fund serves as a permanent sign of your support for charitable giving.
You can begin your Family Fund at any time, and your fund is activated when your wedding donations total $250 or more. When you create your Family Fund, you have the opportunity to designate which focus area your fund will support. For example, you can create an education fund or a community development fund in your name. Each year the I Do Foundation will make contributions from your fund to carefully screened organizations in that focus area. Over time, you can continue to make tax-deductible charitable contributions to your fund. If the principal of your fund reaches $5,000, you may choose to graduate to a Donor-Advised Fund, which provides you with even more flexible philanthropic opportunities.
